Storm history

Hurricane Dorian was the fourth named system of the 2019 season. It formed as a tropical wave in the Atlantic and developed tropical storm characteristics on August 24 about 1300 km east of Barbados. Continuously strengthening, the system passed the Lesser Antilles, missed the high mountains of Puerto Rico, which would have disrupted its organisation, and gained hurricane strength on August 28.

Zurich based Insurance Linked Securities specialist Solidum Partners will assume the asset management of the CAT bond funds of Falcon Fund Management from 1st of August 2019. The current portfolios include the Insurance Linked Strategy and Insurance Opportunities funds. Further product launches are intended under the collaboration.

On the morning of May 26, 2019 (7:41 UTC) a severe earthquake occurred in Central Peru. According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) half a million people were exposed to severe shaking and close to 7 million felt moderate shaking

The earthquake is not expected to have an influence on the Solidum Funds.
