Hurricane Isaias
Hurricane Isaias formed as a tropical storm in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico overnight on October 7, becoming the ninth named storm and the first hurricane of the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season. Temporarily threatening to hit the Gulf coastline as a major hurricane, the system struggled with dry air and wind shear prior to landfall and finally hit the Florida panhandle as a category 2 hurricane. In the attached article we describe how Solidum analysed the situation prior to landfall and was able to call it All-Clear well below the storm made landfall.Â
