Hurricane Melissa

Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica as a Category 5 storm and then moved over Cuba and the southern Bahamas into the open Atlantic. The hurricane caused severe damage, particularly in Jamaica, and led to a default of a catastrophe bond in the market. The portfolios of the Solidum Cat Bond and ILS funds were not affected by the event. In the linked event report, we provide further information about this storm event.
